News Item: 15 year old South African, Natacha Kroon is IFAA Junior Female Freestyle Unlimited Champion of the World

Natacha Kroon, a 15 year old scholar from East London participated in her first international archery tournament with exceptional results. The International Field Archery Associations’ (IFAA) World Bowhunter Championships took place in Godollo, Hungary over the period 24 to 29 August 2015 with more than 1300 entries in 52 different competing styles. Natacha participated in the Junior Female Freestyle Unlimited shooting style and over the period of 5 days, Natacha increased her lead each day. Going into the final day of the World Championships, Natacha was leading the division with 138 points. She finished the tournament with 300 points more than her competitors and secured another gold medal for South Africa at the Championships. What is next for this young athlete? “Firstly, catching up with academics and then start preparing for the 2016 World Field Archery Championships in Australia”. This was her first international tournament for which she was awarded Protea Colours. Sanaa congratulates Natacha on her achievement.
